Meri Furnari, BA, BFA
Editor

Good ideas are only as good as they can be clearly expressed and understood. Meri Furnari’s primary editing objectives are to express the intention and ideas of an author in the best possible presentation, clarify material so that it reads well, cultivate impeccable grammar and punctuation, and achieve accurate content.

Meri helps jdcPartnerships produce professional quality documents by tightening and strengthening voice and syntax, proofing grammar, and formatting layouts. She also lends support in clarifying each writer’s intention through astute questioning and constructive feedback. Meri is especially skillful at interpreting different writing styles and unifying content from multiple authors. jdcPartnerships prides itself on delivering outstanding proposals, reports, and presentations.

With 25+ years of broad editing experience, Meri has been an independent editing and writing professional since 2007. Before working with jdcPartnerships, Meri served as technical editor for transportation engineers, administrative manager for marine analysts, office manager for affordable housing architects, grants administrator for non-profits, proofreader and archivist for two daily newspapers, and managing editor of an entertainment magazine. This eclectic experience gives Meri’s editorial skills an extensive scope.

Meri has a BA degree in English Literature from City College of New York (CCNY) and a BFA with Distinction in Painting from California College of the Arts (CCA). Besides assisting others to sharpen their writing, Meri loves to paint, hike, dance, meditate, and travel.
