Nicole Farkouh, MPP, M.Ed
Associate
Since college Nicole has juggled conflicting desires to experience the world and stay close to home. Her curiosity and passion has resulted in a body of professional experiences and a personal network that spans the US and the globe.
Nicole’s work with clients draws on these diverse experiences and is founded on an instinctive respect for and value in each individual. Her approach is characterized by deep listening, proactive focus, and letting trust evolve naturally over time. Her intuitive awareness of underlying issues and dynamics paired with sensitivity and skillful communication enable her to work effectively with diverse populations and in a variety of environments.
In her work, Nicole holds multiple perspectives and develops innovative and clarifying conceptual frameworks that support clients across a wide range of sectors, organizations, and fields. She is exceptionally comfortable working in, and making sense out of, contexts that are not black and white. She draws on her innate abilities and analytical training to identify the core needs in a situation and identify, synthesize, and present meaningful information in a way that provides clarity, confirms intent and supports necessary decisions and action.
Within her work with jdcPartnerships, Nicole engages in strategy formation, toolkit and framework development, conceptualizing and delivering trainings and organizational processes, qualitative research and analysis, survey development and analysis, multiple-data source synthesis, report writing, case study development, literature reviews, and presentation design and delivery.
Immediately prior to collaborating with jdcPartnerships, Nicole spent significant time in Nepal supporting a variety of non-profits to build their capacity for advocacy and communication, while providing technical support for organizational development, initiative leading, and network building.
Her formal training includes: qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, mediation, Non-Violent Communication, and curriculum design and delivery. In addition to being a facilitator of small and large groups, Nicole is a group process trainer. She is a published writer and presenter and has also had a career as a Middle School teacher and School Leader. Her latest adventure is learning to be a mother of a joyful and spirited daughter.
Nicole holds a Master of Public Policy degree from UC Berkeley, a Master of Education from the University of New Orleans, and a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Smith College.
Nicole is honored that her work connects her with such inspiring leaders and organizations and looks forward to supporting and strengthening organizational effectiveness and learning from these experiences to assist others and deepen her practice.
