Publication Brinton Homeless Project Summary of findings of this community-based and mobile mental health service model for homeless individuals living in San Francisco. Findings led to recommendations for an evaluation design, service delivery strategies and data base development.

PublicationEssentials for Diversity in Giving An innovative 2-year program to bring social justice philanthropy donor education to communities of color. The project culminated in the publication of a comprehensive curriculum, With Knowledge Comes Change: The EDG Toolkit. jdcPartnerships designed and conducted the evaluation of the program and drafted initial tools for the toolkit.

Publication First 5 Marin FY2009-2010 Annual Evaluation Report This annual evaluation report presents a synthesis of progress across First 5 Marin’s portfolio of grantees as well as its own efforts in relationship to the results stated in its strategic plan and outcomes in its evaluation framework. jdcPartnerships has been the evaluator for the past 10 years.

Publication First 5 Marin Initiatives and Projects: Grounded in Evidence and Best Practices To identify and assure that funded grantees’ efforts had the greatest likelihood of success, jdcPartnerships conducted an extensive literature review identifying best, promising and evidenced practices for programs which aligned with the desired outcomes stated for First 5 Marin.

Publication First 5 Marin Sustainable Community System Change: A Framework for Planning and Analysis This paper presents First 5 Marin’s intention to engage in efforts which are both systems changing and supportive of a system that remains adaptive and community grounded. jdcPartnerships led the research and framework development.

Publication First 5 San Francisco: Evaluation Report and Stakeholder and Grantee Survey Findings As part of its ongoing efforts to assess its relationships and perceptions of impact, First 5 San Francisco administers periodic surveys with grantees and stakeholders. jdcPartnerships designed and administered the online survey, analyzed findings, and prepared a summary report with recommendations.

Publication Integrated Health Psychology Training Program Evaluation Funded by HRSA and designed by The Wright Institute, IHPTP is a master’s degree training program which integrates psychology in a community-based primary care setting complemented by academic training. jdcPartnerships designed and implemented the evaluation, developed a logic model, refined an array of clinical tools, and continues to support the evolution of the model.

Publication Latino Community Foundation: Children & Youth Initiative Evaluation Report 2009 LCF’s Children and Youth Initiative includes grantees from across the Bay Area engaged in early child development, parent engagement, teen parenting and pregnancy prevention within the Latino community. Publication Silicon Valley Community Foundation To inform its grantmaking, SVCF engaged in a Community Input Project which included a series of nine strategic conversations with community leaders, practitioners, advocates and other funders around key issues. jdcPartnerships co-designed and facilitated the convenings and frames for the debriefs in partnership with LFA Group.

Publication Summer Bridge, Key Findings Report FY 2009-2010 This report summarizes findings from data collected from the Summer Bridge program (located in five communities) which is overseen by the First 5 Marin School Readiness Initiative (SRI). SRI promotes community-based planning for school readiness in partnership with parents, schools, and service providers.

Publication F5M Kindergarten School Readiness: Key Skills for Transition, 2009-2010 Update This report summarizes findings from First 5 Marin’s Fall 2008 survey of Marin County kindergarten teachers. The survey was sent to and completed by 46 teachers from 16 elementary schools in five Marin County school districts. The purpose of the two-part survey was to gain insight from current kindergarten teachers about the skills students need for a successful transition to kindergarten.

Publication Next Generation Leaders of Color 2010 Initiative Pilot: Key Findings Report jdcPartnerships designed and implemented an evaluation for the pilot of CompassPoint’s Next Generation Leaders of Color initiative. This 12-month intensive program integrates peer learning, coaching circles and training in eight areas critical to managerial success in the nonprofit sector. The report summarizes findings from seminar assessments, overall participant experiences and program alignment with a logic model developed at the beginning of the engagement.

Publication A Framework for Family Support in Oakland A collaborative of philanthropic, social and educational organizations in Alameda County came together to explore the development and application of a family support framework to strengthen the services, programs and efforts that address the broad needs of children, adolescents and their families. This report summarizes the findings from a literature review, key informant interviews and discussions with the collaborative and presents a draft family support framework.

Publication Oakland Family Support Feedback A collaborative of philanthropic, social and educational organizations in Alameda county came together to explore the development and application and family support framework to strengthen the services, programs and efforts that address the broad needs of children, adolescents and their families. This report summarizes the findings from a field testing of a draft framework vetted via a survey and focus groups in three communities.

Publication Horizons’ People of Color Creating Equity Evaluation Report Horizons engaged jdcPartnerships to design and conduct an evaluation of the POCCE pilot program with a major focus given to the lessons learned within and across funded nonprofits. This work was shaped by three evaluation goals: 1) Document lessons learned during the implementation of the POCCE pilot program, 2) Explore ways in which individuals are building bridges within and across communities and 3) Determine best practices around message and messengers when developing communication strategies within communities of color.

Publication First 5 Marin Annual Evaluation Report This annual evaluation report offers a systems and structural change lens for the work of First 5 Marin as it seeks to improve the health, wellness and school readiness of children ages 0-5. It continues to elevate the analysis and documentation of evidence of the ways in which systems are operating differently along a continuum towards more adaptive and community based approach.
